There's no more important space in the cosplay world for boys to be girls and girls to be boys than gaming. Donning a suit of power armour or assuming the guise of a ninja should be creative and free from constraints based upon what a particular person does or does not have in between their legs. We cosplay to live out fantasies, which by their own definition are fictitious.
It's odd that a liberating activity like cosplay should be bound by notions of gender.
